In Kharkov, Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine, the new year began where the old one left off. Many families in Kyiv and Kharkov saw their homes severely damaged by missile attacks. Tragically, four people were killed and nearly 100 wounded, with these numbers likely to increase. A JRNU staff member shared chilling pictures of her mother's home, showing the balcony entirely destroyed.
We are continuing to receive reports of damage and requests for assistance. Our staff and volunteers are responding as quickly as possible, arranging housing and other assistance for the safety and well-being of the many affected members of the community.
With your help we save lives and restore hope.
