A Heartfelt Note Of Thanks, From Poltava

AUGUST 26TH 2024

Dear JRNU,

My name is Sheyna Andrushchenko. I am writing to you on behalf of our entire family, including our several children, to express our immense gratitude for the help you have given us.

Life is difficult in Ukraine. In addition to the ongoing challenges of air strikes and utility disruptions, the economy is a great concern--prices for food and utilities continue to rise. My family has always eaten kosher meat and dairy products, but over the past two years the price has made it difficult to do so. At the same time, the cost of children's shoes and clothes has also risen substantially. We always strive to provide our young children a sense of normalcy and a good life, but it is very hard these days.

My husband and I take an active part in the Jewish community, celebrating the holidays and teaching the children about the traditions of their heritage. We volunteer in support of Shabbat observances and humanitarian aid projects. We are both very grateful to our community and to JRNU, for the ongoing help and support of our family. The one who blesses will be blessed a hundredfold!

Sincerely,

The Andrushchenko Family
