A Message For The New Year

SEPTEMBER 13TH 2023

As we prepare to welcome the Jewish year of 5784, we want to extend our most sincere thank you to everyone who has assisted and supported us this past year. Many people have donated money, for which we are most grateful. Others have lent support in various ways, and we are grateful for these efforts as well. With your help, we ensured that the Jews of Ukraine will celebrate the High Holidays-- the Days of Awe--in the same manner as Jews have celebrated for thousands of years. Along with Jews in Israel, the United States, Europe and around the world, the Jews in Ukraine will hear the cry of the shofar, taste the sweetness of apples and honey, bless round raisin challahs, and enjoy festive meals with friends and family. Ten days later, with G-d's help, they will join us in observing the solemn holiday of Yom Kippur followed by the festivities of Sukkot and Simchat Torah.

This past year has been challenging, for the people of Ukraine, for those working to support them, and for compassionate souls everywhere. This holiday season it was a privilege to distribute specially created gift packages, to spread joy and happiness amongst people who are suffering so much. In Ukraine, rabbis and their families, along with staff and volunteers, worked tirelessly and selflessly to ensure no one was missed! Day after day, boxes were loaded into trucks, vans, and cars headed to cities, towns and remote villages, bringing the holidays to the Jews of Ukraine.

Please join us in praying for a sweet new year that will bring peace and happiness to people throughout the world. We wish you all the best in 5784 and beyond. Thank you for your support; together we save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
