Despite the challenges of the ongoing conflict, Sukkot has brought happiness and meaning to Jews all across Ukraine: in Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Rivne, Uzhgorod, Zhitomer, Kyiv, Bila Tserkva, and everywhere in between.
Of all the holidays, Sukkot is one of the most joyous, with lots of singing and dancing. The holiday celebrates the gathering of the harvest, and it commemorates the Jews’ miraculous protection during their escape from Egypt. During the week long holiday, meals are shared in community Sukkot where people enjoy warmth and caring that is desperately needed during difficult times.
We are grateful to our leaders and staff who worked tirelessly to bring Sukkot to Ukraine distributing food, gift cards and the Four Species. And we are grateful to our donors who make it all possible.
With your help, we continue to save lives and restore hope.
