Building the Future, One Young Person at a Time

MAY 17TH 2024

Oleksandr Volynchuk is coming of age during a difficult time in Ukraine. As he prepares to graduate from high school, the opportunities are limited. The destruction of schools, ongoing security threats, and lack of funding make it impossible for most children to pursue dreams of attending college or trade schools.

Notwithstanding the limited access to education, the economic instability and the emotional impact of the ongoing crisis, it is important for teenagers to explore their desired vocation and pursue a career. We are working with kids and their families to identify interests, abilities and goals in life, and help chart a course for the future.

Oleksandr Volynchuk's mother reached out to us for help, and we arranged for him to receive professional career guidance, for which he was most grateful:

"I thank JRNU for the opportunity to work with an excellent business psychologist specializing in career selection. I gained insight into many different professions that were completely unknown to me. We had extensive discussions regarding different career paths and where they might lead, and I completed a variety of aptitude tests to guide my decision-making process. In the end, with the concurrence and support of my mother, I elected to pursue management and marketing. I am looking forward to the next steps and beginning my adult life."

We are working with many young adults and their families to support their plans for the future, strengthening individuals and communities even while the country remains under siege. We hope for better days ahead, while we continue to save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
