On January 8th, an attack on Zaporizhzhia, a city in southeast Ukraine, killed at least one person and injured three others. The city has been targeted many times throughout the crisis, due in part to the nuclear power plant and other industrial facilities.
We pray for the safety of all the residents of the city and are doing all we can to support the sizeable Jewish community. We are hopeful that the kindergartens, day school, community center, women's club, and synagogue will be undamaged and continue to operate, providing valuable programs and services to the community.
Together we save lives and restore hope.
