Production at the Kyiv honey factory is in high gear, filing thousands of jars with sweetness for the upcoming holidays. These special treats will be included in the gift packages we deliver to Jews throughout Ukraine, along with other traditional Rosh Hashanah such as honey cake from Israel, a calendar specially designed for each community, and much more.
And, for the fourth time in as many years, large food parcels will be an essential part of our High Holiday project; many families count on us to provide nourishment on a regular basis. The parcels include grains, oil, canned vegetables and meats, and other daily essentials.
In Pervomaysk local staff and volunteers work hard to assemble the food packages.
In Sumy, children anxiously await the snacks we include along with the more nourishing items.
In Lviv, the arrival of ingredients for hearty meals brings smiles to the faces of children and relief to their parents.
Our regular aid work continues as well. In Kryvyi Rih, staff prepare and deliver hot meals.
In Zaporizhzhia, they add freshly baked challah.
In Cherkasy, people gather for lunch, where they nourish their spirits as well as their bodies.
We look forward to bringing joy and light to the Jews of Ukraine during the upcoming holidays. We hope and pray for peace in the year, for Ukraine and throughout the world. Together we save lives and restore hope.
