At least eight children and an elderly man were injured by bombs dropped in the Kharkiv region today. After more than 2 years of conflict, the tragedies continue--changing people’s lives forever. As difficult as it is to endure the ongoing daily challenges, individuals find a way to carry on, remaining devoted to their families and communities.
The recent Passover holiday illuminated the deep commitment people have to help and support one another. Families hosted loved ones, friends and neighbors in their homes; rabbis conducted seders with a hundred or more people, celebrating the holiday of freedom in a festive and meaningful way.
We pray for an end to the crises, and hope people can return to their homes and rebuild their communities, sooner rather than later. In the meantime, we continue to support thousands of people in need, with food, medicine, shelter and more. We are preparing for the holiday of Shavuot next month, when we will once again provide special food items to all, and we are planning summer camps to provide much needed opportunities for recreation and renewal.
We remain committed to the survival and well being of people all across Ukraine; with your help we save lives and restore hope.
