In celebration of the holiday, the Jews of Ukraine were treated to a popular Purim film, recently translated into Ukrainian. The famous video, produced by the 'Yahaduton Channel' more than 10 years ago, explains in detail how to celebrate the Purim holiday. The film was shown to tens of thousands of Jews across the country, adding additional excitement and joy to the holiday events.
With the addition of the recently released Ukrainian version, the video is now available in more than 7 languages including Hebrew, English, Russian, French, and German.
The movie was created by Rabbi Shmuel Bistritzky, from Savyon, Israel. Now, more than a decade later, this wonderful production was seen by Jews in cities and towns throughout Ukraine, in conjunction with Purim gatherings organized by JRNU leaders and staff.
The Purim celebrations brought a much needed respite from the stress of the ongoing conflict. Now more than ever, the people of Ukraine need our support and solidarity. We pray that by next Purim there will peace in Ukraine and Israel throughout the world.
Together we save lives and restore hope.
