"I have not seen so many tears of joy and gratitude for a long time, especially from people who themselves are involved in helping every day. Thank you 💙💛"--Violetta,
On a recent trip to Ukraine, Joe Sullivan, CEO of Ukraine Friends, provided brand new laptops to two women who have been working tirelessly for the past 16 months to support the people of Ukraine: Svitlana, a Program Coordinator and Inna, an Accountant:
Svetlana:
"War, apartment, anxiety, storage, minibus, office; and my constant companion, my laptop. Winter, blackouts, cold, and again, my constant laptop companion. Without my laptop, my work is impossible. But then, the machine could no longer withstand the load/voltage interruptions, causing the workflow to slow down and then stop altogether. I could no longer receive requests from people in a timely manner, and I could not provide the necessary help. Every minute counts today. The laptop gives me mobility, speed and efficiency.
That is why, in this difficult time for me and my country, I am infinitely grateful for YOUR support and help. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue helping those who need it most. People with chronic diseases will receive the necessary medication; children in crisis will receive the necessary medical care, psychological help and support from tutors. All this is possible once again, thanks to you! THANK YOU!"
Inna:
"I am always in touch, always online. Working in wartime conditions, lack of light and interruptions in voltage led to my computer beginning to discharge constantly. When the power grid went down, my work stopped! I was unable to complete timely transfers of necessary payments, submission of reports, and sharing critical information. When the computer stopped, life stopped. I am very grateful for your help providing me a new computer so I can continue my work, regardless of the war around me! Thank you!"
