Wishing everyone a very happy New Year, and hoping for peace in Ukraine and around the world. The past year was very busy for JRNU leaders, staff and volunteers, as we provided critically needed humanitarian aid to thousands of people all across Ukraine.
Our work is not done, as the war continues. We help people with food, medical care, heat and much more. We help people like Masha and her family. Before the war the family did not need assistance, but everything has changed. Masha is in need of psychological help for her frequent tantrums, poor sleep, attention deficit, and conflicts with her older sister and parents. She is also in need of dental care. The father has been struggling as well and no longer leaves the house. With only the mother working, the family can't pay their regular bills let alone afford the cost of a psychologist or dentist.
We also help people like Nastya and her mother, a widow who has ongoing medical issues from a stroke she suffered several years ago. Their apartment building has been repeatedly shelled and is significantly damaged. Nastya has several chronic medical issues and was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. The family cannot afford the critical medical care.
We are grateful to the many generous and compassionate people who make our work possible. Every donation we receive, big or small, makes a difference in the lives of people in need. Thank you for your ongoing support. Together we save lives and restore hope.
Best wishes for a wonderful new year.
