We wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving holiday. We all have much for which to be grateful, even as so many of us are suffering. The events over the past few weeks in Israel coupled with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine have touched us all-- some more directly than others. As we give thanks for our blessings on Thanksgiving, and every day, we remember those who are hurting--those who have lost loved ones or whose loved ones are injured or not well, and those who themselves are injured or sick. We also remember those whose lives have been upended, whose homes have been destroyed, and who are separated from family and friends. And we remember the courageous and dedicated leaders, staff, volunteers who work tirelessly to help those in need, in Ukraine and Israel and throughout the world. We give thanks for them.
We give thanks for all of our partners and supporters who make it possible for us to help the Jews of Ukraine. We are continuing to provide needed humanitarian aid each and every day, and we are also working to reestablish a sense of normalcy in the Jewish communities in Ukraine. We hope and pray for an end to the conflict sooner rather than later. With your help we save lives and restore hope.
