Little Masha Sergey stole our hearts back in Kherson where she was living in a dilapidated home without sufficient food, clothing, medical care or parental support. Shortly after the invasion, we evacuated Masha to live with her grandparents in Mykolayiv. While they are unable to provide everything Masha needs, they give her a safe and loving environment.
We have been supporting Masha and her grandparents with food and daily necessities, and it has been wonderful to see her grow and flourish. Last week Masha went to camp where she enjoyed fun activities with other children, as well as educational programs and counseling sessions. All across Ukraine, children are attending two week sessions of day camps, and three week sessions of overnight camps, thanks to generous supporters. The camps provide the children a bit of normalcy in the midst of otherwise chaotic lives.
Masha is just one of the tens of thousands of people we support each day, saving lives and restoring hope.
