No One is Immune from the Tragedy of War, Including Those Helping Others

JUNE 16TH 2023

Each day, thousands of people work hard to help the men, women and children of Ukraine, often risking their own lives to do so. Each and every one of them have been negatively impacted by the war in one way or another. Ksenia, our Informal Education Projects staff member from Kryvyi Rih told us about her recent experience, and asked for our help:

“My name is Ksenia, I am 24 years old. On June 13, disaster struck my family. My grandmother's house caught on fire from Russian missiles--fortunately she survived. The apartment was completely destroyed, and all her property burned. Thank G-d, she managed to leave the house on her own, though she sustained some injuries.

My grandmother is 70 years old; she has been working at a school for more than 45 years. She needs a laptop to work, because the school is working remotely. She has no home and no belongings-- everything that was there was destroyed and she does not know what to do. In order to at least bring my grandmother back to her past life and give her the opportunity to work, I ask for help with the purchase of a laptop.”

Our heart goes out to Ksenia and her grandmother and everyone else who continues to suffer in Ukraine. We will do everything possible to render aid and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
