The girls of the Alumim Orphanage in Ashkelon enjoyed an extra special Passover holiday. Each child and young adult received a dress specially ordered for them, compliments of Mr. and Ethan Mrs. Gross. The couple from Detroit, Michigan, met the children on their last trip to Israel when they took the entire orphanage on an outing to a local museum, treated them to a magic show, and gifted special blue hoodies with insignia of Ukraine and Israel. For Purim they sent each child an insulated picnic bag full of tasty treats. And now for Passover the girls get to enjoy beautiful new Spring dresses, making the holiday that much more special.
The children of Alumim Orphanage have endured many hardships, throughout their lives and especially over the last two years. Generous and compassionate individuals like Mr. and Mrs. Gross, and thousands of others around the world, have made it possible for the children to grow, thrive and develop, knowing they are loved and supported. We are grateful for all of our donors and partners who make it possible for us to save lives and restore hope.
Chag Sameach!
