For the third year in a row, Peanut Proud donated 30,000 jars of peanut butter to the people of Ukraine (in 2022 the peanut butter was sent to Moldova for Ukrainian refugees). These items are one of the highlights of the packages we distribute for Purim. This tasty high protein item can be used to make a variety of different meals and snacks and is enjoyed by everyone, young and old!
Peanut Proud was created in 2010 to “Unite the peanut community in celebrating its pride through humanitarian efforts and the recognition of excellence.” Over the past 14 years, they have partnered with growers, producers, and distributors to provide millions of jars of the hearty treat to people around the world.
Peanut Proud provides peanuts and peanut butter to schools, after-school programs, and projects in low income and rural areas. They partner with state grower organizations to supply peanut butter to food banks in peanut-producing states. They respond to requests from local peanut growers or grower organizations for assistance in obtaining peanut products during natural disasters.
We are very grateful for their continued generosity and support for the people of Ukraine. Families especially look forward to receiving their Purim boxes, knowing that inside is a jar or two of Peanut Proud peanut butter!
