The People Of Ukraine Count On Us

AUGUST 9TH 2023

Historically, Ukraine has been home to one of the world’s largest Jewish communities. Most of the Jews lived in the largest cities like Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Dnipro, but many other communities exist across the country. More than 140 JRNU rabbis and their wives have remained in Ukraine to support their communities, making significant personal sacrifices, and at times even risking their lives. Together with our staff and volunteers, and thanks to generous donors, the rabbis are saving lives and restoring hope each day, to more than 50,000 people. The pictures below illustrate our recent work:

In Pervomaysk, a young man with cerebral palsy relies on JRNU for medications and medical treatment.

In Pervomaysk and Kyiv, grocery store vouchers allow families to purchase items they need most.

In Khmelnytskyi, Kamianske and Rivne critical medications were supplied.

In Chernihiv, Vinnytsia and Dnipro we distributed food and personal hygiene items.

Our warehouse operations support our efforts all across the country.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
