At 3 am on December 13, a big explosion startled the Kozhushko family from their sleep; they were immediately hit with a blast of cold air. All the windows were blown out of their apartment from a missile that had struck a residential area of Kyiv, including their neighborhood. Within hours, JRNU representatives were on the phone arranging emergency assistance, and replacement windows were installed within days.
The trauma from the blast continues to impact the family, but they are able to sleep more peacefully knowing that we are there to support them in whatever ways needed. With your help we continue to save lives and restore hope.
