Last week, hundreds of women from the Kharkiv Jewish community participated in a Mega Challah Bake event to promote peace in Ukraine and Israel. The event was held at the city’s Grand Choral Synagogue, and included prayers for the release of the hostages in Gaza.
Rebbetzin Miriam Moskovitz, co-director of the Jewish community and Chabad of Kharkiv, organized the special occasion, guiding each participant, step-by-step, through the Challah making process. As the dough was rising, Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz spoke about the power of Jewish women, and the important role they play in bringing redemption to the world.
Each woman in attendance was given the name of one of the individuals in captivity, to pray for them and their families. In addition, participants prayed for better days in Kharkiv, and for peace in Israel, Ukraine, and around the world.
With your help, we continue to support the Jews of Ukraine, saving lives and restoring hope.
