Update on Crisis in Kherson

JUNE 7TH 2023

The massive dam breach in Kherson is having "grave and far-reaching consequences," for tens of thousands of Ukrainians, according to the United Nations. At least 20,000 homes and businesses have lost power, nearly 2,000 houses have been flooded, and at least 16,000 people are homeless. With Kherson under water, people are fleeing to all regions of the country, many of which are already overwhelmed with displaced people. Drinking water is becoming scarce in the South and Southeastern parts of Ukraine. Serious environmental damages are causing concern as well. The Chabad rabbis along with JRNU staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to help everyone in need, to the greatest extent possible. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.
