Update on Summer Camps for the Children of Ukraine

JUNE 24TH 2024

Jewish children in Ukraine will again enjoy sports, swimming, shows, trips, games, and much more at summer day camps. They will participate in activities designed to foster kids’ Jewish identities, establish connections with other Jewish children, and provide a much needed respite from the stress of the ongoing crisis. This year we are introducing a new curriculum that blends experiential Jewish education with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities.

The theme for this year’s camps is built around the legend of J-PowerPark, a Jewish amusement park. Campers will be tasked with activating the park’s attractions by solving various challenges. Each day, the children will explore new zones of the park, help characters solve tasks, and work together to activate the rides. Successful activation is marked with a red light on the map, and the final task involves redirecting energy to a main switch to fully illuminate the park.

Consistent with the past two years, campers will be provided emotional and mental health support as needed, and they will be encouraged to participate in discussions and counseling regarding the ongoing conflict. We look forward to having more than 2,000 campers this summer.

We appreciate our generous donors without whom it would not be possible for children to attend the camps. With your help we continue to save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
