Today, two large truckloads of much needed supplies arrived in our warehouse in Kyiv. We received hundreds of new items donated by Amazon, Walmart, CVS, and others. School supplies and other items will be unloaded quickly and distributed to 39 different communities around the country. Staff and volunteers will fill new backpacks given to each child as they prepare to return to the classrooms on the Day of Knowledge (the first day of school). Personal hygiene items and bed linens will be provided to thousands of people who have been displaced from their homes and/or lack sufficient means to buy basic necessities. Toys will be distributed to schools, orphanages and community centers to create a positive and fun environment for youngsters, giving them a sense of normalcy despite the chaos around them.
With the High Holidays and winter approaching, our warehouse staff will be working around the clock to ensure we have sufficient food and other supplies for the fifty thousand people who rely on us each month for support. With your help we continue to save lives and restore hope.
