Your Help Matters!

NOVEMBER 27TH 2023

Compassionate and generous people from around the world touch thousands of Ukrainian people, from one-year-old twins in Pervomaysk to a home for orphans in Odessa.

In Pervomaysk, Sofia and Mykyta Dainzon will celebrate their first birthday next week. Their family struggles to afford food and basic needs. They survive on the meager salary of the father who is a laborer, along with a small pension from the grandfather who shares their small house; the mother stays home to care for the babies. The food, diapers, and other necessities provided by JRNU are a life line for the young family.

In Odessa last week, hundreds of children, community members, and dignitaries attended the historic inauguration of Mishpacha Orphanage’s new study building. Rabbi Avraham Wolff and the school’s director, Mrs. Marina Samuelovna made blessings and gave remarks before a group of excited children presented the school administrators with keys to the building. Students in the first grade were honored to lead the ribbon cutting ceremony, and Rabbi Fishel Chichelnitzky affixed the Mezuzah.

“The last two years have been so horrific,” says Mrs. Chaya Wolff, Co-Director of the Jewish community of Odesa and the Mishpacha orphanage, “so much pain and sorrow, and now with the war in Israel, everything has become even darker…”

“However,” she continues, “we persisted in our mission to save lives, and the Almighty sent us a ray of light: a new building that will allow us to do even more to support our underprivileged children.”

With your help we continue to save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
